Countryside Awards Volunteer

CPRE fights for a better future for the English Countryside. They work locally and nationally to protect, shape and enhance our beautiful, thriving countryside for everyone to value and enjoy.

CPRE Hampshire runs an annual Countryside Award scheme to celebrate our beautiful, diverse and thriving countryside and all those who sustain it so that that everyone can value and enjoy it. The spirit of this can be found in a diverse range of projects, buildings, businesses, services and social enterprises – from large to grass roots level. To date over 100 projects have been recognised, since the inception of the awards eleven years ago.

CPRE Hampshire are looking for help in contacting organisations and businesses who may be interested in entering one of the four categories n the award scheme. The role for this volunteer will be to research potential applicants and find the best contact before contacting this person by phone and a follow up email.

Working Arrangements

This would be two full days (split over the courses of 2 months) based from their office in Winchester and they would welcome longer.

Person Specification

They are looking for someone who meets most of the criteria as outlined below.

• Friendly phone manner
• Ability to work in a methodical way with attention to detail

The role is voluntary although they will pay all out-of-pocket expenses with prior agreement, in line with their Volunteers Policy.
